Scholarships
The Willamette Master Chorus awards up to four $1,000 scholarships annually to outstanding vocal Willamette University students based on academic achievement, musicianship and leadership. A bequest from the Carol Clark Tatkon estate helps fund these scholarships.

Reece Sauvé, bass
The Willamette Master Chorus (WMC)
is proud to announce that Reece Sauvé, a piano
performance major from Beaverton, has received a
$500 scholarship and invitation to perform with WMC
for the 2007-08 season.
Reece graduated from Century High School, is currently in his fourth
year of study and will graduate in 2009. While
at Willamette he has participated in the Chamber
Choir, Male Ensemble, Willamette Singers,
Dramatic Vocal Arts, and the student A Capella group
Headband. Reece has served as Chamber Choir President and Vice President
and also as Section Leader in both Chamber Choir and Male Ensemble. In
addition he has received the Most Valuable Participant Award twice for
Chamber Choir and once for Male Ensemble. Reece's musical interests
include conducting, piano, voice, and composition. After graduation Reece
plans to pursue his masters and PhD in music education and conducting. He
aspires to be a college professor and choral director. In his free time
Reece enjoys woodworking, riding his bike, the outdoors, and photography.
